Take Action

One important part of being a member of a youth led movement is informing yourself. The next part is to take action! Here you can find various ways to engage in action. Taking action can look very different. There are more active roles you can take from forming a group in your community to less active roles like online organizing. Each is very important! Consider your time and commitment to find the best way to take action in your community!

The United States of America has had laws dealing with illegal aliens (from other countries without permission) and the laws need to be followed.  Any funds paid to an illegal alien should have to be repaid to the US TaxPayers of the USA.  If she has been here since she was a child she and her parents have had plenty of time to apply for citizenship.  The US Taxpayers cannot be forced to “adopt” families that feel they are entitled and are NOT under the law.

U.S. immigration policy is very complicated. Most people who work with the system don’t even understand all of the policies and legal guidelines. However, two things are true. 1. Once someone is in the country without documentation it is not possible to gain citizenship without leaving the country and then spending as long as ten years trying to get back in legally causing major problems for the person and their family. 2. Gaining legal status can be an extremely expensive process that most immigrants simply do not have the resources for.

The United Nations has recognized migration for the sake of protecting and improving a person’s basic condition of life as a human right. If our laws not respecting this human right, it is our responsibility to make sure they work to protect human dignity and equality.

Citizen, I would be more than happy to supply you with factual resources about this issue.
