Jose E. Coming out poem

Overloaded with fear.
Depression is loading.
Craving for a new beginning.
I am Undocumented and unafraid!
I feel that my dreams are being disintegrated.
My eyes can clearly see numbers being form in my dreams.
This road is no longer a road. It’s an obstacle course.
Being consumed with tidal waves of massive distortion.
I had it! We had it!
We have dreams, emotions, faith, & all the qualities of a human being.
We are equal!
But somehow I’m here being stabbed by 9 million needles at sonic speed.
I need 9 digits, to secure my dreams.
My talents, my motivation to move my community are being taken away
by the clutches of man of evil.
The country I love is sealing my doors.
However. . Where there are screams of hope.
There is a new chapter of equality being started.
Being positive is the best medicine We humans can obtain!

My name is Arely and I am Undocumented and Unafraid

The Reason why I never came out of the shadows was probably because i was afraid, afraid of what people would think and say about me. The thought of people knowing that i was undocumented gave me Goosebumps .I used to think like “There’s no way I can let people know.” Matter fact, I used to find it embarrassing. Friends always talking about what they are doing after high school: Going to college, getting a job, going out the country, I felt Sappy. I thought to myself “that is so cool I’m happy that you’re going but how I wish that was me”. There were a few people who i did come out of the shadows to, but only the people that I knew I could trust and always count on. The people who

Undocumented & Unafraid United

For years anti-immigrants have told the stories for thousands of undocumented students. These students have been told to keep their status a secret as they see their stories being exaggerated and made-up. Recently, Arizona style legislation has been proposed in Michigan. Undocumented students can no longer afford to live behind the shadows and have their stories told for them. A group of undocumented students from Michigan will come out of the shadows and tell their stories…their real stories, no exaggeration or lies. They are no longer afraid and will not have their lives dictated by Arizona style legislation. They are undocumented and unafraid. Please come join us and stand in solidarity!
